At Baptist Health System we are committed to serving our patients and to improving the community we live in. As our mission states, we exist to provide the highest quality in health care delivery, education and community service through a dedicated team of health care professionals working together in a compassionate Christian environment. The health system is involved in more than a dozen non-profit health organizations that support the health and wellness of children and families and we provide community outreach through education, expos, seminars, and much more.

Clinical Outreach at Baptist
At Baptist Health System we are also committed to partnering with healthcare providers in the rural communities of South Texas in order to provide the highest level of care to patients in those areas. We are striving to make the excellent services which are available at all five of our Baptist Hospitals easily accessible to patients and physicians, and to provide the support that is needed to all our neighboring communities.
Charitable Donations
Each year we give hundreds of thousands of dollars to many organizations such as the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society , South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, the United Way , Faith Family Cinic , and many more. In 2008, 2009, and 2010 Bapist was the signature sponsor of the American Heart Association’s San Antonio Start! Heart Walk. More than 1,000 Baptist Health System employees raised over $100,000 and walked to show their support in the fight heart against disease.
